RCI ActivePure® (Radiant Catalytic Ionization) - technology of purifying the air indoors

In comparison to the products using passive technology in combating microorganisms and unpleasant smells, ActivTek uses active RCI ActivePure® technology, which is based on naturally-occurring processes, which fully solve the problem. The applied passive solutions solely “mask” the problem, since they are simply filtering the air – there is noticeable secondary pollution after the air exits the device.

Way the RCI ActivePure® technology works

The most important element of channel-mounted and stationary devices – a peculiar matrix with hydrophilic properties. After the device is turned on, UV radiation hits the matrix’s honeycomb structure, starting and increasing the speed of chemical processes. Within the matrix, on its patented composite coating, processes which create superoxide and hydroxide ions are being started. Not only do the ions created in this way eliminate the pollutants which are close to the matrix, when they exit the device thanks to the fan, they still act outside as “purifying plasma”, destroying microorganisms, oxidize gaseous organic compounds and remove the unwanted smells inside the rooms.
