WHO informs that as of now, approx. 5 million people have been affected by the new species of the coronavirus. Activtek follows the norms and meets the standards currently sought by a number of industries – hotels and other public use facilities that need proper support in these difficult times. The RCI ActivePure® technology, in contrast to a number of other methods of liquidating microbiological threats is able to eradicate the viruses from the air and from flat surfaces.
The RCI ActivePure® technology has a document-proven efficiency in combating coronavirus.
The research realized by FDA (American Food and Drug Administration) indicate that the RCI ActivePure® technology is able to neutralize as much as 99,99% of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. There are no studies, on the other hand, that would prove without any doubt that the SARS-CoV-2 virus could be effectively eliminated with the use of other air purification technologies – i.e. ozonising, chemical systems or UVC lamps.
The advantage of Activtek systems with their RCI ActivePure® technology is that it is adapted to continuous work. In contrast to other methods, it allows for the presence of people during the purification process.
This allows for microbiological securing of the entire buildings. Ozonising has biocidal and oxidation effect as well, although in high concentrations only, where it causes adverse effects. Through its oxidation properties, ozonising causes irritation of conjunctiva and mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. Within the concentration limits where ozone does not have any negative impact on people’s health, it does not have any biocidal effect.
Activtek devices, with their continuous operation, guarantee efficient air purification in all of its volume. They are able to destroy currently existing and newly appearing microbiological threats, they reduce the number of threats brought from the exterior – they protect the people who are in the interior. UVC lamps, on the other hand, have only local application. Also, ozone does not provide any protection against the new inflow of the SARS-CoV-2 viruses into the interior. Any person entering in or staying in a given facility is thus a potential threat. In facilities where the ozonising process is being carried out, there might be no people, animals; it is also necessary
to remove plants. After the end of disinfection, the facility must be aired for not less than 15 to 30 minutes. It is a mistake to enter the facility earlier that upon the lapse of 4 hours from the completion of the process. Before the next use of the ozonised facility, the ozone concentration must be measured.
The effect of ozonising is short-lasting. Therefore, the process must be carried out regularly.
This increases the costs of maintenance of the property and disrupts the functioning of the facility. In comparison with ozonising, the RCI ActivePure® technology is a more cost-efficient solution. It is characterized by low exploitation costs and a vast array of possibilities as to assembly without interfering in the construction of the building.
Activetek devices are compliant with European norms. They are PZH and CE-attested. Their efficiency has been proven by numerous studies, academic publications and an extensive list of references from the completed realizations.
