LEED Certified

ActivTek devices have attained a “Green Product Card”. Hence they have become a supporting measure for the LEED certification procedures.

ActivTek products are safe and friendly for the environment, supporting the concept of the green buildings all around the world, having an impact on attaining LEED certificate points within the scope defined by the Green Product Card.

 “Green Buildings

Increase of eco-awareness may be noticed within our society. It is visible in intensive development of the eco-construction concept. Eco-building is based on solutions which are environment-friendly and their negative impact on the environment is minimized.

Conceptions of “Green Buildings” are highly popular in developed countries, including Poland. Rising level of the environmental awareness creates a need among the designers and manufacturers of the building materials, to create devices, products or eco-services which are safe for the natural environment.

Green buildings are suited perfectly to the concept of sustainable development, interconnecting the needs of socio-economic development and environmental protection.

ActivTek systems and technology fit the idea of eco-buildings by purifying the air in a way, which is based on active processes which naturally occur in nature. They are an environmentally friendly solution, which is safe for the users and which significantly reduces the energy consumption.

LEED Certified

LEED System (Leadership in Energy and Enviromental Design) has been created in 1998 by the U.S. Green Building Council, which promotes the “Green Buildings” idea. U.S. Green Building Council as an international organization, gathers together companies, universities and governmental organs, which are interested in carrying out activities aiming at promoting and creating the idea of sustainable buildings.

LEED Classification is a point-based system of assessment for office buildings, residential buildings and public utility objects within the scope of meeting the requirements of sustainable construction.

Buildings are assessed by a group of independent experts, who take, inter alia, the following indicators into account:

  • increase of the micro-climate quality inside the building
  • using environment-friendly materials,
  • energy efficiency,
  • rational usage of resources,
  • location of the building,
  • water saving,
  • reduction of CO2 emission etc.

On the basis of the number of points gathered in all four categories, one of the four LEED certificates is granted: Certified – 40-49 pts., Silver – 50-59 pts., Gold – 60 – 79 pts., Platinum 80 and more points.

LEED mark is a globally recognizable and measurable evidence, which proves that the building is environment- and user-friendly.

ActivTek Sp. z o.o., as a distributer of technologies used to purify the air indoors has been a member of PLGBC (Polish Green Building Council) since 2011. The company has been distinguished by receiving the “Green Product of the Year” award. As an active member of the PLGBC, ActivTek supports solely the building solutions which can be fully embedded in the idea of sustainable development.

The ActivTek technology applied in “green buildings” provides significant increase in climate quality properties, eliminates the fungi, mould, microorganisms and pollution from the air. It is one of the criteria which have to be met by infrastructures that are applying for getting LEED certificate.
